Our students had a last minute opportunity to join in on a Project Ask program with Janie Panagopoulos's book Train to Midnight. The students enjoyed the book and the experience provided through the distance learning discussion with the author. Mrs. Okun's students wanted to write something as a thank you to the author. The feedback that they post here will be in a variety of forms. We hope you enjoy them. We are also hoping that the author herself will pop in and comment on our blog.
Using the list of Petey's positive characteristics, you need to compose a letter to the doctor who first diagnosed Petey as an idiot and sent him to live in the mental institution. Through your persuasive writing, you will prove to the doctor and other staff members that this initial diagnosis was wrong.
