It's Not Your Father's Internet
In my workshop on Friday, I was going to explain how RSS connects
content to people and people to people. Terry Freedman and Ewan
McIntosh made the point for me. On Thursday morning I had downloaded
and read "
Coming of Age: An Introduction to the New World Wide Web". I commented about how much I enjoyed the booklet and what a great job Terry had done creating the booklet.
By Friday morning, I had received
comments and/or email from Terry Freedman and one of the contributors to the
booklet, Iwan McIntosh. I’m sure they used Feedster or Technorati
to discover I
had written about them in my blog. I used this to make the point that
the web is becoming more about sharing and creating a sense of
community.
Jim
RSS had connected them to me.
What a wonderful tool!
